Not too long ago, rumors suggested that Rihanna and Beyonce were involved in a quiet feud after RiRi was allegedly spotted flirting with Queen Bey's hubby, Jay-Z. Oh, and the "Diamonds" songstress is supposedly uber "jealous" of Beyonce's vast fame and fortune:
Now get this - RiRi's rumored boyfriend Drake is apparently in a blossoming feud with Jay-Z!
Awhile back, the Nothing Was the Same crooner "dissed" HOV in a Rolling Stone article about his fellow rapper's use of art in lyrics:
"It's like Hov can't drop bars these days without at least four art references... I would love to collect [art] at some point, but I think the whole Rap/art world thing is getting kind of corny."
And in the hit song "I'm on One," Drizzy rhymes:
"I'm just feelin' like the throne is for the taking. Watch me take it."
According to Rolling Stone, Drake is likely referencing Jay-Z's collaborative album with Kanye West, Watch The Throne (2011). Drizzy explains in the interview that at one point, he wasn't too close with HOV and Yeezy - "It was a lack of communication paired with natural competitiveness... But those two are gods to me."
So now Jay's hitting back. The Magna Carta rapper released a verse on Jay Electronica's new track on March 23 entitled "We Made It." Check it out:
"Sorry Mrs. Drizzy for so much art talk. Silly me, rappin' 'bout sh*t that I really bought - while these rappers rap about guns that they ain't shot - and a bunch of other silly sh*t that they ain't got."
Woah - Drizzy has yet to respond.
