Monday's episode of How I Met Your Mother, entitled "The End of the Aisle," is the last episode prior to the series finale on March 31. Tonight, Barney and Robin will finally tie the knot (we think) and HIMYM will set up its last episode.

Alyson Hannigan, who plays Lily on the show, had the following to say to the "Spoiler Chat" column at E! Online about the show's ending:

"Spill scoop on the How I Met Your Mother finale, I know you have some!
Ahh you caught us! We recently caught up with Alyson Hannigan and here's what she spilled about HIMYM's highly anticipated finale: 'I laughed, I cried, and I was like, 'How are we going to shoot this? I'm going to be a mess!' she laughed. 'But it was wonderful, and it was the perfect way to go out, and I'm so grateful that we got a season nine to end the show the way it should be. It deserved this ending.'"

Couple that with what series director Pam Fryman told the "Mega Buzz" column at TV Guide, that fans should not worry about lingering issues after the credits roll for the last time, and it seems like we're headed for a beautiful finale:

"Fans shouldn't worry about a Sopranos-esque cut-to-black or otherwise ambiguous ending. Series director Pam Fryman tells us that the one-hour closer will wrap everything up in a nice, definitive bow, whether The Mother is dead or not. 'You'll see what happens to everyone,' she says. 'We really tried to tie up every loose ending we could think of, answer every question we've asked and haven't answered. It's just very satisfying.' Who's in the last scene? Fryman's lips are sealed, obviously, but she teases that 'the last minute or so will really sit with you.'"
