It's been a rough season for Manchester United, but David Moyes' men have improved little by little, and lately it appears the future may be brighter than they expected. His team are through to the Champions League quarter-finals, they are linked with some very talented players and they've started to play better. With little else left for them to achieve in their stuttering season, could a match with Manchester rivals, Manchester City, be the perfect way to finish their season?

Manchester City are locked in a fierce title race with Liverpool and leaders Chelsea, so they will not want to lose any game, let alone one to rivals United. United have little else other than their slim Champions League hopes remaining, so causing a vital blow to City's title hopes could be another small win for the club.

United appear to have a plan in place to compete next season, starting with major departures and arrivals, but they will be looking to have a momentum building finish to the season, and after their good spell recently, a win against their rivals would certainly be welcomed. With star striker Robin Van Persie out, Wayne Rooney will have to carry on his brilliant form. Another worry is their lack of central defenders, due to injury and suspension. Michael Carrick may drop back in to defense, which could excite the City defenders.

Can Manchester United get one over their enemy, and can they bounce back next season and go toe-to-toe with their city rivals for the Premier League title?
