'The Walking Dead'-inspired beer 'Dock Street Walker' is brewed with real brains in Philadelphia!

Philadelphia's Dock Street Brewery has come up with a new beer inspired by AMC's hit series The Walking Dead. If you were thinking that the beer involves the use of brains, you would be very correct.

The brewery isn't completely committing to this idea, though. They've decided that smoked goat brains would be the special ingredient to make this new beer, called the Dock Street Walker, the perfect brew to enjoy while watching The Walking Dead.

The Dock Street Brewery released the following statement to help celebrate this new beer:

Dock Street Walker (7.2% ABV) is an American Pale Stout, brewed with substantial amounts of malted wheat, oats, and flaked barley for a smooth, creamy mouthfeel. Fuggle hops provide delicate, earthy notes, while the cranberries create a sinister, bloody hue, and a slight tartness. The pre-sparge-brain-addition provides the beer with intriguing, subtle smoke notes. In true walker fashion, don't be surprised if its head doesn't hang around forever. [...] Gourmet mushrooms and potentially hallucinogenic herbs are one thing ... but smoked brains? Believe it or not, much of the world considered brain to be a true delicacy Think Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom, but not ridiculous. Many also believe that using every part of the animal not only increases and encourages sustainability, but also honors the animal's life and death.
