Keyshia Cole went off during a recent interview at Atlanta's radio station V-103 after a DJ asked was the singer fit to be a wife.
DJ Wanda Smith host on "The Ryan Cameron Show," said the wrong thing when she asked the "Rick James" singer if she thought she was wifey material. Keyshia snapped saying, ""Y'all really f*ckking with my sh*t right now. I got some other sh*t going on. What y'all want to talk about right now," Keyshia said. "Are you trying to insinuate that I was one-dimensional?"
The host tried to fixed the interview by suggesting that Keyshia should try to focus on her career and that her career may be why she could not focus on being a married mother. Smith then added singer Monica in the mix using her as an example saying that Monica Brown has made marriage and motherhood number one in her life stepping away from music for a while.
Keyshia replied, "Listen, Monica I'm sure she's doing her thing. This isn't the first rodeo for Monica; she's been through the ringer and this that and another, but at the end of the day we can handle all of that," Keyshia continued."It's just the point of the man taking care of his business. We're good. We handle our sh*t. We do what we do, period. I don't know what to tell you about that."
The singer seemed like she was fine at first laughing and joking about slapping the DJ host as she pointed out facts about her career, marriage and motherly love. Keyshia suggested that lots of women have successful careers while staying married and raising a family.
"They don't give women enough credit. We juggle a lot; we take care of our men; we handle our job; we do all kind of craziness to make sure the household is stable and we don't get enough credit for it," said Keyshia who warned others, "Make sure you're taking care of home before you go out there and do what you do because men do what they do. I really don't feel like there's no dude out there that's going to keep it 100. That's what I see."
After her interview with V-103 it seems like Keyshia had shaken the conversation off, but apparently her twitter showed something different.
I'm done wit interviews for a minute! That interview with V103 left a very bad taste. And to be honest, I don't deserve that kinda treatment
