Cleveland-based rapper Machine Gun Kelly (MGK) has one of the most loyal fan base in the rap world today, but is he ready to take over the world? After several mixtapes the star rose to fame, but it was his releases '100 Words And Running' and 'Lace Up' that ensured everyone knew he was the one rapper they had to remember. Following on from that, a few releases were topped with his successful debut album, also entitled 'Lace Up', but MGK believes he can achieve much more, and his new freestyle proves he's in the right 'State Of Mind' to achieve whatever he wants to achieve.
Before he released his debut album he releases successful mixtape 'EST 4 Life' and although some considered his album a 'flop', it achieved respectable reviews and numbers, but MGK was ready to prove he was just getting started. He never left the studio, and in the summer of 2013 he released 'Black Flag' as a mixtape, but he insisted it was a "free album" and it seems he was correct, with many considering that album better than his store release.
MGK, who has Cleveland, and most of America's back, has already toured around the world and has the following in place to become a global superstar, but is he prepared to put the work in? Apparently so, as he's rarely left the studio, and in the little spare time he's got he's always throwing together another plan to surprise his loyal fans. On Wednesday 26th March 2014 he released his latest freestyle (with a video) 'State Of Mind' which he shows his confident, and somewhat (deservingly) cocky attitude. His flow is at its very best on this track and if his new album that he's currently working on reaches the heights of this song, then it's clear 2014 and 2015 will most definitely see him become the global superstar he deserves to be.
Kelly has very much had his mind focused on improving and being the success he was born to be, but it seems he is in the correct 'State Of Mind' to ensure his songs are the ones everybody raps to. In case the world's forgot, Kelly is only twenty-three, and in his latest track he reminds us, saying "I'm 23, and in my prime, that means I'm Michael Jordan".
