This week, an interview with the White House Family looms in the air while the Grant family crumbles from within.
Mellie and Andrew are carrying on their affair within the walls of the White House, while Olivia and Fitz, too, continue their affair within the White House. The only one who knows about Mellie and Andrew is Olivia and she tells him that he needs to stay away from Mellie if he wants to keep his Vice President spot. He responds, "Glass houses, Olivia."
The Grant children are flown in from their boarding schools, but neither are happy about it. At the awkward family dinner, Fitz tries to complement Karen for her performance and Jerry for his lacrosse success. The kids can see through the act. Karen wants nothing to do with Fitz because of his affair and Jerry went so far as to create an anti-Grant Twitter account (which is discovered and blocked by Huck).
Meanwhile, Huck is working hard to find Quinn in order to get her out of B6-13. After his hot and heavy murder attempt incident with Quinn, he is hooked even more than before. The Gladiators are working to eliminate the organization by finding out the source of funding. Olivia asks her father, Eli, for help, but he declines to tell her any information. The team wants to get rid of the program and they also want Quinn back, but Quinn is adamant about staying away.
Eli is undecided on whether or not he will take down Jake or let Jake run the program into the ground. Jake has the misconception that he is filling Eli's shoes and Eli sets him straight by saying, "You're alone. We are not equals, nor will we ever be." Bad news for Olivia if she ever wanted to go back to Jake... but Eli's reluctance to help Olivia out always leaves her feeling alone in the world.
Still living as a B6-13 agent, Quinn doesn't tell Charlie about her and Huck's make-out session when he came to try and kill her and Charlie is suspicious. He forces a move-in on her and little does he know that Quinn and Huck have met again for another hot and heavy spit-swapping session. I say spit swapping session because Quinn repays Huck's face lick with one of her own.
The other crime-duo, Harrison and Adnan, work to get her immunity away from Maya's scheme. She tells him that this could be their chance to start over and he tries to push her away, but she seduces him. Unfortunately, it all turns out to be an infiltration move by the Adnan/Maya camp to get Fitz's campaign information from Olivia's computer.
Olivia receives a phone call from Maya and Maya tells Olivia, "You think you're family, but you're nothing but the help." Maya wants Olivia to leave her position at the White House because she knows the Grants are using Olivia without any intention of repaying her. Repayment for all of Olivia's work would probably by Fitz leaving his wife, but that ship doesn't seem to be sailing any time soon.
When Karen discovers Andrew and Mellie in the act, she tells Fitz who then attacks Andrew. Fitz confronts Mellie, telling her that she ruined their marriage. Mellie had previously said that after the birth of Jerry she had no longer any interest in sex. After her affair is revealed, Fitz feels that Mellie lied through their marriage. He spent ten years with her, without touching her (expect for their creation of the two children), and he felt that drove him to his affairs.
He says, "You did this. You ruined our marriage. You killed us." He still is unaware that Mellie was raped by his father, that Jerry may not actually be his child. Waiting for Mellie to tell Fitz what happened is the biggest shoe that has yet to drop. I predict that once Fitz knows, he will try to work things out with Mellie because her actions and behavior will have a source that they can confront. Bad news for Olivia, good news for the Grant household but bad news for the Grant family.
When Olivia tries to interrupt the argument because they still have their interview on schedule. If the family does not show, the reporter declares he will continue the live segment and fill it with speculation about why the family isn't showing.
Fitz shuts Olivia up with, "I'm talking to my wife!" and Olivia goes away.
Eli eventually calls Olivia and tells her that the funding doesn't come from one source, but all of the departments of the government. He tells her he does so because they are family and they have to stick together.
