Tyler and his best friend, a superhero bear, are back in an all-new original adventure from KaBOOM!, an imprint of BOOM! Studios. Winner of the Eisner Award for "Best Title for Young Readers," the comic book returns from a decade long absence with a brand new series, Herobear And The Kid: Saving Time.
Created by writer/artist Mike Kunkel, the series follows a little boy named Tyler and his imaginary best friend. In his will, Tyler's grandfather left him a magical teddy, a cape-wearing polar bear. Filled with tons of heart and childhood nostalgia, Herobear puts Tyler on his back as they fly off to another adventure. Saving Time #1 will be released with two variant covers from comics favorites, Humberto Ramos (Superior Spider-Man) and George Pérez (World's Finest).
Boom! Studios Editor-In-Chief Matt Gagnon proclaims, "We are extremely proud and excited to debut the first, new Herobear And The Kid comics series in over 10 years. Mike [Kunel] is a one-of-a-kind creator, and Saving Time is a beautiful story that will please longtime fans and new readers alike."
Plot Synopsis:
Henry, the family's magical butler, is missing! It's up to Tyler and Herobear to figure out what happened to their friend-only they might learn a lot more about Henry than they initially thought and be forced to get help from an unsuspected source.
The first issue of Herobear and The Kid: Saving Time will be available in stores on April 23rd. Not only is the Herobear and the Kid series a perfect introduction to comics for kids, this material is also fun for all ages.
