MStars has learned that legendary "House" DJ Frankie Knuckles passed away on Monday at the age of 59.
Some sources are revealing that Knuckles died from complications related to Type II Diabetes.
Knuckles, whose real name was Francis Nicholls was also referred to as the "Godfather of House Music" and was inducted into the Dance Music Hall of Fame in 2005.
Knuckles also had a day named after him in the city of Chicago, where he worked for some time in the 80s.
The "Godfather of House Music" was a winner of a Grammy in 1997 for Remixer of the Year, Non-Classical.
RIP Frankie Knuckles.
