Wal-Mart store has a marketing deal that Pitbull agreed to visit the store that get the most "likes" on its Facebook page and the leading candidate is Kodiak, Alaska for now.
There was an idea that came up online that it would be funny to send the Miami artist to Kodiak, Alaska, one of Wal-Mart's most remote store. The writer of the Boston Phoenix newspaper encouraged people to "like" the page.
The funny thing is that it happened.
The store in Kodiak received more than 35,000 "likes" Monday, which is more than five times the town's population, reports Wal-Mart spokesperson Sarah Spencer.
She said the campaign is still running until July 15, however "He's definitely coming to Kodiak if Kodiak wins."
Mr.Worldwide who is touring Europe, responded on twitter.
"I hear there's bear repellant at Kodiak, Alaska @walmartspecials @sheets #exilepitbull daleeeeeee!"
"Picture me with a Kodiak...Ha! daleeeeee!!!!! #exilepitbull @walmartspecials @Sheets"
The rapper hasn't been to Alaska yet according to AP news.
