One of the most anticipated new television series of the year is easily FX's Fargo. A series adaptation of the Coen Bros. film of the same name, we're all very excited to see just how FX handles the task of adapting the movie. Luckily for us, the network released the first seven minutes of the new show this week. Let's take a look ahead of the April 15 premiere date!

Though it may seem like a bold move to try and adapt this amazing Coen Bros. film into a TV series, the show has one of the most impressive casts to do it. Billy Bob Thornton, Martin Freeman, Allison Tolman, Colin Hanks, Bob Odenkirk, Oliver Platt, Kate Walsh, Keith Carradine, Adam Goldberg, and Glenn Howerton star in FX's Fargo.

Here is a synopsis of the new series, which should differ from the movie in many ways:

A drifter named Lorne Malvo (Billy Bob Thornton) arrives in small-town Minnesota and influences the population with his malice and violence, including put-upon insurance salesman Lester Nygaard (Martin Freeman).
