Former Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Edition cover model, Bar Refaeli, has just been deemed too hot for television. Sexy car washes, threesomes, and strip poker with a puppet are just too much for viewing audiences to handle.
A local ad for the fashion brand, Hoodies, was originally supposed to air after primetime on Israeli TV. The Second Authority for Television and Radio judged the steamy commercial unsuitable for the viewing public because there were "too many sexual insinuations." The 54-second commercial stars the supermodel as the object of a puppet's fantasies.
Who is the puppet, with the huge mustache, lying next Refaeli in bed? According to The Hollywood Reporter, "the character of Red Orbach emerged locally from an all-puppet classic rock group called Red Band and his stereotypical persona is that of an aging 1960s American rocker."
Throughout the commercial, Red Orbach fantasizes about being surrounded by multiple clones of Refaeli. The fantasy continues as Red Orbach imagines being fed grapes by Refaeli and later on, joins her in a risqué game of strip poker. The track you hear in the background is a cover song of "You Really Got Me," by The Kinks.
And now, for your viewing pleasure, check out the banned commercial starring Refaeli:
Having more than one supermodel Bar Refaeli just seems too much for one person, even a puppet, to handle. Maybe this exposure helps Hoodies sell their fashion wear, which was supposed to be the point.
