Based on the sci-fi horror classic, Alien: Isolation follows a new team of space explorers who encounter the extraterrestrial beast on their voyage. Check out the spine-chilling sound design of the horror videogame that will make players squirm.

From the official Alien: Isolation website, the videogame makers have just released a new video teasing the sound design. With new footage, the audio developers explain how they worked on the unpredictable behavior of the Alien hunter.

In the video, Mark Angus, lead audio designer, discusses the film's influence, "We wanted to be authentic as possible when it came down to recreating the sound of the original music. So we put together our own orchestra from the best musicians that we knew around London, including some who had played in the original recordings with Jerry [Goldsmith] back in the 1970s."

Byron Bullock, audio designer, continues, "We have this really unpredictable, clever, adaptive alien. We needed to build a sound engine that could help support that. We couldn't just have a mix of static. We needed a score that could change, that could adapt based on what the player is doing, based on what the alien is doing. The idea is to drive an emotional reaction from the player. "
