Manchester United have certainly faced their ups and downs this season, so when things appear to be very good, the fans are without a doubt enjoying every second. United faced a tricky away trip to Newcastle, and the game had the potential to be another game in which they slipped up and lost, but they were in top form, even without Wayne Rooney and Robin Van Persie. Juan Mata stepped up to prove he's worth every cent of his near $50 million dollar price tag, as he scored twice in their 4-0 win.

Juan Mata was influential in everything United did, and he opened the scoring with a 20-yard free-kick, and then soon followed that up by finishing a composed close range finish. A problem United have faced in 2014 is their lack of consistency, and it doesn't help that Juan Mata is cup-tied, meaning he cannot play against Bayern Munich.

Javier Hernandez was given a chance to impress and he scored with a close range finish, before Adnan Januzaj added to his reputation by scoring the fourth and final goal of the match. This United side started 8 different players from their last encounter with Bayern Munich, and it was evident he was resting players for their important second leg on Wednesday.

Although David Moyes appeared to be running out of time, he has shown enough recently to suggest that he deserves at least one more season. With up to $300 million dollars available to spend on new players, can Moyes turn this around?
