Meet The World's Greatest Monster Hunter, 'Baltimore!'

Hellboy creator Mike Mignola and bestselling author Christopher Golden (Soulless) are back with a new three-issue miniseries for Dark Horse Comics. The world's greatest monster hunter continues his search for the vampire king in Baltimore: The Witch of Harju.

The  comic book series follows Lord Baltimore, an angry man on a never-ending mission. Nothing will get in Baltimore's way as he hunts down the vampire, known as The Red King, who murdered his entire family and beloved wife. Baltimore slaughters his way through monsters, in order to get the Red King's full attention.

For this latest story arc, artist Peter Bergting joins the creative team with Mignola and Golden. Bergting is known for his artwork in the Swedish translations of Lord of the Rings and Harry Potter.

In an interview with Comic Book Resources, Bergting explains his artistic approach, "I keep a lot of files handy for reference, and the fact that the specific story is set in Estonia, which used to be Swedish 400 years ago, meant there were people here in Sweden I could bug for specific reference. But the biggest challenge would have to be drawing Baltimore himself, who is so crowded with weapons. You have to find a way to layer all that stuff and still make it look good."

Plot Synopsis:

In his newest adventure, fresh off a  violent showdown in London, Baltimore shelters a woman on the run from a possessed dead man and the witch playing his puppet master. 

Baltimore: The Witch of Harju #1 hits stores everywhere on July 30. Will Baltimore be one step closer to his ultimate showdown with the Red King?
