Bayern Munich at times have seemed unbeatable, but in their last two matches cracks have started to show. First they drew 1-1 with Manchester United, and then they looked to get back to winning ways against Augsburg, but they weren't able to do so, losing 1-0. Bayern welcome United on Wednesday, and now there will be nerves throughout their stuttering stars.
Sascha Molders scored a first half goal, which proved the difference maker. It's unlike Munich to fail to score, so they will worry about Wednesday's encounter, especially if United defend as heroically as they did last week. United got the 1-1 draw, despite being outplayed for much of the game, so they'll believe they can repeat that once again.
This was an eye opener those fans that believe Bayern do not fear United. Munich rested several stars, and those on the filed appeared to have their mind elsewhere, most likely the United match. When a team doesn't feat their big games they are able to rise and perform in every game, but after two poor Munich performances, many are wondering if this unbeatable team have become beatable.
United will take inspiration from this match, knowing that if they can match this scoreline, then they will progress in to the UEFA Champions League semi-final draw. Can United go all the way, or will Bayern find form once again and dismantle United Wednesday?
Will United find a way to stop Munich's Franck Ribery and Arjen Robben, or will their stars dazzle their way through United's ageing defense?
