The SNL alums and Golden Globe hosts Tina Fey and Amy Poehler are joining force once again for a new comedy project. The Nest is the title of the upcoming comedy from Universal studios. They will co-star and co-produce the project directed by Jason Moore.
They will star as sisters, Kate and Maura, who are being booted out of their parent's house and being forced to move into a condo. They decide to throw one last banging party to recreate the parties from their youth, which they were known for, before moving out of their parent's house. We can only imagine how wild this party will get.
Poehler and Fey are no strangers to working with one another on the big screen and small screen. They have started in Mean Girls and Baby Mama together as well as hosting Weekend Update on Saturday Night Live. I know we are excited for this movie after the amazing job they did hosting the Golden Globes together last year. It seems that when these two get together, it is comedy gold.
Fey and Poehler have had very similar careers, both getting their breakout role as cast members on SNL before moving on to movie roles and then finally landing comedy shows at NBC. They both have also won the Outstanding Lead Actress in a Comedy Series Emmy's for their NBC comedy's Fey's 30 Rock and Poehler's Park and Recreation.
Filming for this movie is set to begin in the second week of June and will take place in New York.
