Sarah Jakes reveals challenges of motherhood, marriage & divorce in new book, 'Lost and Found' (exclusive interview)

Sarah Jakes, the daughter of T.D. Jakes is out and about promoting her new book "Lost and Found," MStars reporter, Star Connor had a chance to chat one on one with the 25-year-old as she talked about her ups and downs on motherhood, marriage and divorce.

"Lost and Found" is a story of faith, hope and redemption. While surrounded by what most would consider a fairytale life, due to her father being a mega pastor, Bishop T.D. Jakes, his daughter admits that her road was lonely, critical and judgmental. Jakes became pregnant at age thirteen, exposing the reality of life and what it was like to be a preachers daughter, having a child while her father was one of the most influential pastors in the world.

Sarah thought her dreams of having a better and clear path were coming true when she married a professional football player at the age of 19 in a huge dream wedding. However, the public spotlight on Sarah's pain only grew larger when her marriage ended in divorce a few years later. In "Lost and Found," Jakes reveals what life was like "growing up Jakes," how she balanced the challenges of being a mother at such a young age and how she bounced back from divorce, after enduring a marriage filled with dishonesty and infidelity. "Lost and Found" is a story of courage and resilience and Sarah Jakes hopes to inspire others who may feel lost, just as she did at one point in her life.
