"Down on the west coast, they got a saying..."

That's what Lana Del Rey posted on her Twitter page before tweeting a picture of her new single cover for song West Coast.

The indie pop darling released the cover art a few days ahead of her Coachelle appearance this Sunday April 13. I'm speaking for all of us when I say she better sing this new song, and someone better record it. We have to know what the saying is on the west coast. WE JUST HAVE TO!!!

Along with the picture she also posted in the caption a link to her webpage, which crashed shortly after she tweeted it.

Rumors of when the new single and new album release have been circling the Internet like a hawk lately. There were reports that we would be able to download West Coast sometime this week and that her new album would be available on May 1, but with Lana one can never be certain.

Lana has made news recently with the unveiling of promotional billboards for her single and album, one in Brooklyn and one in Los Angeles. One of the billboards just had the words Ultraviolence on it with a picture of Lana while the other one had the lyric to new single "West Coast," the same lyrics that she tweeted out today.

There have been claims that Lana is going to go all Beyonce on us and release Ultraviolence unexpectedly to iTunes. I have been refreshing my iTunes browser constantly just hoping and patiently waiting for it.

Lana will embark on a North American Tour staring April 24 in Texas.
