Bluewater Productions has just given their biography treatment to a popular British comedy group. From writer Chris Canibano and artist Juan Luis Rincon, Comics: Monty Python follows the hilarious phenomenon that took over television, movies, and albums.

The Python troop began with founding members Graham Chapman, John Cleese, Terry Gilliam, Eric Idle, Terry Jones, and Michael Plain. They wrote and performed their own sketches that pushed the limits of political correctness. Their Pythonesque work has influenced many of today's comedians and continues to be quoted repeatedly by its numerous fans.

Plot Synopsis:

The groundbreaking comedic troupe that changed comedy forever is now immortalized in comic book form. Comics: Monty Python follows the group's various beginnings on the college stage to their pioneering television show, movies, breakup ,and their triumphant reformation.

Rincon explains his love for the Monty Python series, "I'm a big fan of Monty Python since I was a child. I have everything of the group in DVD published in Spain (my country) and I like their unique sense of humor. I love Life of Brian, Holy Grail, the gag about football match between philosophers of Greece and Germany, Johann von Gambolputty , and the Spanish Inquisition."

Canibano also adds, "The best part of working on the book, was being able to watch all of the old movies and TV skits again. They still hold up to this day and you can definitely see how they have influenced modern entertainment."
