James Cameron took to Reddit this weekend to reveal exclusive details to users about his upcoming Avatar sequels. During an "AMA" or "Ask Me Anything" session Cameron told Reddit users that he is working on the next three Avatar sequels and hopes that the scripts are finished for all three of the films within the next six weeks.

He tells the site that, " The second, third and fourth films, all go into production simultaneously. They're essentially all in pre-production now because we are designing creatures, settings and characters that span all three films. He adds that, " We should be finished will all three scripts within the next, I would say, six weeks."

Sam Worthington, Zoe Saldana, Stephen Lang and Sigourney Weaver who all starred in the first Avatar film will reprise their roles for the upcoming sequels. Many fans were confused as to how Weaver's character of Dr. Grace Augustine would be able to make a comeback since her character died in the first film.

James also addressed this confusion. "Who said she died? Nobody dies in a science fiction movie. Whether Grace lives or dies depends more on Sigourney's agent than anything." It looks like her agent was all for her return to the planet of Pandora.

He tells reddit that, "The biggest pressure I feel right now is cutting out things I love to get the film down to a length that is affordable."

The previous film broke records at the box office becoming the highest-grossing film of all time both domestically and worldwide beating out Cameron's other blockbuster hit Titanic.

The new films, which all will go into production within the next few months, are expected to be released in December of 2016, 2017, and 2018 respectively.
