For the last couple of seasons, and most notably this season, players have been trying to find a way to stop striking sensation Diego Costa, but it turned out it would take unorthodox ways to put the flashy forward off. A flashing fan and a clash with the goalpost caused Costa all kinds of chaos, yet he still scored and helped his side get an important 2-0 victory in their vital La Liga clash at Getafe.
Atletico's striker missed a penalty as a fan revealed his bottom, putting the striker off, yet that wasn't enough to stop the scoring sensation, well not for long anyway. On a serious note Costa is now an injury doubt for Atletico's Champions League semi-final against Chelsea, which takes place later in the month. He suffered a freak injury, clashing in to the post while scoring their second goal of the game.
Atletico have a good chance of winning both La Liga and the Champions League, but it appears while defenders cannot stop Costa, fans and goalposts apparently can. Diego will be hoping to return and finish this season by lifting the coveted trophies they're pursuing, but then his attention will turn to the World Cup, in Brazil, in which he's being tipped to be one of the star players in.
Will Diego Costa be fit for the two games against Chelsea, and can their defender stop him through footballing means, or will they need a freak fan and post occurrence to have any chance of progressing in to the Champions League final?
