Brandy Norwood and Ryan Press call off engagement

The Game star, and singer Brandy Norwood is once again single and ready to mingle. MStars has learned that Norwood and her music executive fiance' Ryan Press split before the actress turned 35 back in February, according to ABC.

A rep confirmed the news revealing that,

"They are both taking a step back actually. That's what they both wanted to do." The rep continued. "They're friends and I think it's the mature thing to do in a relationship is just evaluate where you are and move forward. The great thing is that they are friends and definitely that's an important part and he's still supportive of what she's doing."

Norwood and Press announced their engagement last year, and in March the singer's little brother Ray J revealed to ABC News Radio that he is very "protective" of his only sister.

"Every guy is crazy," he said, when the host asked who he would like to see The Game star date. "I know I am so I just want to make sure she's happy and then I got her back -- whatever she wants to do."
