Backstreet Boys band member Nick Carter ties the knot with Lauren Kitt in Santa Barbara ( PHOTOS )

Nick Carter is a married man. The Backstreet Boys band member tied the knot over the past weekend to girlfriend Lauren Kitt.

"Happiest day of my life 4-12-2014 I married my best friend and woman of my dreams. Lauren Kitt Carter honeymoon time!" he wrote via Twitter.

The couple got married in Santa Barbara overlooking the ocean. The sunset ceremony was held at the Bacara Resort with 100 guests that witnessed their special moment.

Carter asked Kitt to marry him while on a vacation to the Florida Keys, back in February 2013, after dating for four years.

One eyewitness revealed that the newlyweds shared the longest kiss. "At the end of the ceremony they shared the longest wedding kiss I've ever seen. A full minute later they were still kissing. They seem crazy in love and thrilled to be married. You could feel the love bursting out of them."

Mrs. Carter wore a $10,000 strapless gown, along with a floor length vail. She was one stunning bride.
