Talk about bad timing.
Chance the Rapper was hospitalized two hours before he was set to perform this past weekend at the Coachella Music Festival in California. The rapper was forced to cancel his performance on April 20 due to an illness that was not disclosed.
The rapper had tweeted on April 18 that he was sick saying "Got the next two days off and got sick. #goeshomehappily."After he posted this, concern that he wouldn't be able to perform during Coachella promoted the rapper to tweet "Don't worry. I'll have a full recovery in time for my @coachella set Monday night.
We don't know if he was just too sick to realize that his set was scheduled for Sunday not Monday like he indicates in his tweet.
Chance's management team posted the following tweets on his page to let fans know he would be unable to perform.
"On behalf of @chancetherapper and our entire team- We sincerely regret to have to cancel our 2nd weekend at Coachella- CTR MGMT" -@chancetherapper
"Chance fell ill on Friday night & was admitted to the hospital today- Doctors & family are with him & he is expected to make a full recovery." -@chancetherapper
"Thank you for the prayers and support during this time, Chance, his team and family deeply appreciate it."-@chancetherapper
A photo was posted earlier on Instagram of Chance in a hospital bed but has since been deleted.
The rapper performed during the first weekend of Coachella where he was joined on stage by surprise guest Justin Bieber.
