MStars has learned that singer Chris Brown's trial has been delayed until June 25. The singer will be returning to Los Angeles to face a California judge before he returns to Washington, D. C.
According to CBS, Brown's trial was set for Monday, but postponed and rescheduled to Wednesday while lawyers tried to determined whether the singer's bodyguard will testify.
Wednesday trial has been rescheduled due to legal plotting by the singer's attorneys. Mark Geragos, who is Brown's attorney said that it would take US Marshals around a week to get Brown back to California.
Brown's trial is scheduled to be a half-hour after Christopher Hollosy, the bodyguard is sentenced
"Girl Ain't Loyal" singer and his bodyguard were arrested in October, after being accused of punching a man in front of a Washington hotel.
Hollosy was also convicted of assault Monday in another trial, and was seeking immunity in exchange for his testimony in Brown's trial.
Prosecutors didn't grant that request on Wednesday, according to WNEW senior correspondent Mark Segraves.
Court documents obtained by Segraves reveals Hollosy declined to meet with prosecutors to give details on what he was going to share.
"His refusal to meet with the government forecloses the possibility of a grant of immunity in these circumstances, "Judge A. Franklin Burgess said in the document.
Chris Brown's trial could be delayed again, if Hollosy appeals his decision.
