Valerie Cherish is making a comeback!!!! And no one will be saying "I don't' wanna see that."

HBO just announced that the short lived comedy series The Comeback will be doing just that, making a comeback. The network has ordered six-episode of the comedy series that ran for 13 episodes back in 2005. E! News reports that production on the additional episodes will begin on May 19, but that writers have already been working on the scripts for the past two weeks.

The faux docu-series follows the life of Valerie Cherish (Lisa Kudrow), an actress from the earlier 90's who is trying to stage a comeback after 10 years of being out of the limelight. The show is told in a reality show-esque format which chronicles the struggle of Cherish trying to break back into the acting world.

The new episodes, which will act as a standalone series, are likely to air sometime later this year or early next year. Original cast members Kellan Lutz, Malin Ackerman, and of course Lisa Kudrow are likely to make an appearance, though it's not clear how many episodes Lutz, and Ackerman will be in due to their busy work schedules.

Also set to return will be the creative minds behind the hilarious comedy series, including creator Michael Patrick King, and writers Dan Bucantisky and Amy B. Harris.

We are hoping that if the show pulls in high enough ratings that the cable provider will bring the series back for even more episodes.

Most of the first season episodes are available on YouTube, and HBOGo and we've posted the first episode below for your viewing pleasure, you're welcome.
