Just as Sin City made its way onto Hollywood, another celebrated work from critically acclaimed writer/artist Frank Miller is being adapted. This time, Miller's sci-fi/samurai comic, Ronin, is heading towards the TV screen.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, the Syfy cable channel is adapting Miller's DC Comics series, Ronin. This follows after filmmaker Darren Aronofsky's attempt to bring the samurai drama onto the big screen but the project never got underway. Because of the story's time-traveling jumps, it make sense Syfy would adapt Ronin as an episodic miniseries event.
Written and drawn by Frank Miller, Ronin follows a dishonored samurai's attempt at revenge when his master is killed by a demon. Just as the Ronin was about to kill the demon, they are both cursed and trapped inside the mystical sword. The curse is lifted and the Ronin suddenly finds himself time-traveling from 13th century Japan to 21st Century New York City.
Director Genndy Tartakovsky cites Miller's artwork style in Ronin as a major influence in his popular animated TV series, Samurai Jack:
Though a director/writer has not been named, who do you think will direct Ronin? Because Miller wrote and directed the film adaptation of his own Sin City books, he would seem like first and foremost choice. Miller then stepped into the director's chair again with The Spirit.

Readers, who do you think should write/direct the Ronin TV miniseries, if not Miller himself?

A writer is currently being sought after and how many episodes is yet to be determined for Syfy's Ronin miniseries. Make sure to see Frank Miller back in the director's chair alongside Robert Rodriguez (From Dusk Till Dawn TV series) in Sin City 2: A Dame To Kill For, which hits theaters on August 22.
