The May 2, 2014 edition of WWE's Friday Night Smackdown begins with Hornswoggle and El Torito, who have a contract signing for their "WeeLC" match Extreme Rules on Sunday.

Rob Van Dam defeats Jack Swagger in the first match of the night with Cesaro and Paul Heyman on commentary. Swagger attacks Cesaro, but RVD uses the opportunity to earn the win. Cesaro then beats down both men after the bell.

Alexander Rusev defeats R-Truth by disqualification after Xavier Woods interferes. This is essentially the same situation from Monday Night Raw only in reverse. This match was also apparently re-taped with a slightly altered ending, but Rusev still won.

WWE World Heavyweight Champion Daniel Bryan comes out in a neck brace and cuts a promo about Kane and their Extreme Rules match on Sunday night.

The Wyatt Family defeats Sheamus and The Usos in six-man tag team action. A brawl breaks out after the bell and the Wyatts get the upper hand. They pose over Jey Uso, who competed injured on Raw.

Dolph Ziggler defeats Damien Sandow, who is dressed as Magneto again.

Big E. defeats Titus O'Neil by disqualification when Titus would not break after the referee's five count. The two brawl outside the ring after the match and Big E. gets the upper hand.

Dean Ambrose successfully defends his United States Championship against Ryback, Curtis Axel and Alberto Del Rio. The three heels try to attack Ambrose after the match, but Roman Reigns and Seth Rollins come out and fight them off. The show ends with The Shield delivering a triple powerbomb to Ryback.
