He liked it so he put a HUGE ring on it.
George Clooney and fiancé Amal Alamuddin showed off the new bling at a private dinner on Sunday April 27 in Santa Barbara, California. The new engaged couple was joined by Cindy Crawford and husband, Rande Gerber who were celebrating the engagement and Rande's 52nd birthday at Nobu Restaurant.
Clooney and Alamuddin shared the news with Cindy and her husband that night, and showed off the ring.

In one of the photos, the couple appears to be in deep conversation with Crawford and Gerber, while they enjoy some champagne, to celebrate the good news. Another photo shows the London lawyer, Alamuddin, resting her hand on the back of Clooney's neck, where we get an awesome view of the ring. People learned that Clooney had a hand in designing the ring which is an ethically minded, 7 carat, emerald cut diamond with two tapered baguettes that are in a platinum setting.
People also says that the legendary actor proposed on April 22, getting down on bended knees to ask for Amal's hand.
Clooney also recently traveled to Dubai, where Alamuddin's family currently resides, to spend time with them. We are thinking that during this trip, Clooney asked her Dad for permission to marry his daughter. A source tells People that the family is extremely fond of Clooney.
"They found George very easy to get along with. They felt at ease with him immediately."
