Ellen DeGeneres bonds with Robin Roberts amid Portia de Rossi divorce RUMORS: 'GMA' starlet dishes on girlfriend Amber Laign [VIDEO]

Ellen DeGeneres is very happy in her relationship with longtime wife, Portia de Rossi. And the beloved television host is just as happy to hear that "Good Morning America" sweetheart Robin Roberts is extremely content in her same-sex relationship, too.

On a recent episode of the "Ellen DeGeneres Show," Roberts opened-up about her relationship with girlfriend, Amber Laign:

The 53-year-old news anchor "came out" as a lesbian on Facebook back in December, although she's been in a committed relationship with Laign for quite some time.

The couple met on a blind date about nine years ago. They don't currently live together, but Laign stuck by Roberts' side throughout her entire ordeal with myelodysplastic syndrome. Roberts dishes more about her scary health battle and recovery in her new book, "Everybody's Got Something."

Roberts reveals that Laign is a very loving and supportive - yet private - person:

"In the book, she takes the caregiver's point of view... Sometimes we didn't see the same thing eye to eye, and I thought it was very powerful for people, because there's so many that care for their loved ones, and so to see her side of it and to see my side of it was pretty interesting."  

She continues -  "She's here right now. I can't get her to come out."

So DeGeneres jokes - "Well, she came out, but anyway. It's too late for that now." 

She then turns serious, commenting - "It's an amazing thing that she's been by your side... and it's wonderful to have someone who has had the courage and strength to do it and be another face for the queer/successful/happy people that can fall in love and deserve everything that everyone else has."

And DeGeneres would know - because she's NOT getting a divorce from stunning life partner Portia de Rossi!
