For a long, long time the excitement around the 2014 NFL Draft has been entirely based around the quarterback options, mainly the choice that teams will have to make; Teddy Bridgewater or Johnny Manziel? Over the past few months one man has worked his way up to what's quite possibly considered the No. 1 quarterback spot, and that man goes by the name of Blake Bortles, but could he be the next Tom Brady or Peyton Manning?
Bortles had an energetic and successful pro day, and he heavily impressed the teams that met him and worked him out. Many who have analyzed the elite talent in the class of 2014 believe that Bortles has everything a franchise QB needs, with some saying he ticks the same boxes that both Tom Brady and Peyton Manning have. Being compared to Super Bowl winners before stepping foot on an NFL field can't be a bad thing, can it?
The QB is a great signal caller, and a guy of what's considered to be the perfect NFL build (tall, athletic and strong ). At the very least people think he will match Baltimore Ravens' Joe Flacco if he cannot be in the class of Brady and Manning. Again, he 's been compared to yet another Super Bowl winner.
The bright, intelligent QB is tipped to be a top-five pick, with many now believing he could be the No. 1 pick overall. Can Bortles reach these standards, if not can any of his QB rivals do what everybody is claiming he can do?
