Real Housewives of Atlanta reality star, Porsha Williams released her new music video for her single "Flatline." In the video the reality star opens up about her alleged abusive marriage to former NFL star, Kordell Stewart.
Last week, Porsha made media rounds to talk about the infamous RHOA reunion fight with Kenya Moore and broke the news about abuse she allegedly endured during her marriage to Kordell.
"The video [for 'Flatline'] does touch on domestic violence and some abuse I encountered in my marriage," Porsha said in an interview with "Access Hollywood Live" . "It's not exact to what I went through, because, honestly, what I went through was a little bit worse in some instances." Porsha added, "Abuse, physical and mental."
Porsha told the hosts that she didn't feel like she should reach out to family and friends during the abuse in hopes to make her marriage work.
"Yeah. There were several different occasions that this happened," she said "When you're in an abusive situation, it kind of just builds, and it starts to get worse and worse. And people ask me, 'Why didn't you tell anybody or call the police, or what have you?' I thought that I could make it better ... It doesn't work like that."
Although the reality star says that she has had physical wounds, she carries the mental abuse more from the relationship that any visual scars telling cameras, "I'll tell you the ones that have stuck with me the most is the mental abuse. I had so much pride in being a wife and being a mother and what that meant to me was big," Porsha said. "So for me to be told that I was lazy and that I was stupid and that I wasn't good enough and that nothing I could do was right, that was really, really hard on me."
