Rumors had swirled for several weeks that Vince McMahon wanted to pit WWE World Heavyweight Champion Daniel Bryan against Batista at the Payback pay-per-view on June 1, but Batista supposedly did not want to lose to the champion. But new reports conflict with these rumors and point to a different problem.
The latest news is Batista is actually upset with the amount of money he is receiving for his recent comeback to WWE. Batista had reportedly been promised certain things, but the situation is not playing out as he had expected.
Furthermore, this problem does not seem to be exclusive to Batista, as many other talents are upset with their paychecks as of late. It's unclear why exactly this is the case, but anything from the WWE Network to the recent alleged investigations into WWE's financial dealings could be at play.
Rumors had also run rampant that Batista would be taking time off after Extreme Rules, possibly due to his disillusionment with his situation, but it seems now that he will stick around for another Evolution vs. Shield match. As a side note, this would leave Bryan to face Kane at Payback and the popular theory is the two would square off in a Buried Alive match.
In other news, F4WOnline.com reports that the feud between John Cena vs. Bray Wyatt will likely continue for a while, possibly beyond Payback.
What do you think of these reports? Would you like to see Batista vs. Bryan? When should the Cena-Wyatt feud end? Let us know in the comments below.
