We're all aware of James Franco's interesting Instagram and other social media activities as of late. He's posted practically nude selfies, (allegedly) hit on a 17-year-old girl and even posted his artwork of nude Seth Rogen. James hasn't really answered questions about his hijinks so when his brother Dave appeared on Conan this week, host O'Brien decided to grill the Neighbors star about everything that's been going on.
"I've known your brother James for a while," Conan tells Dave, as he lists off the odd online behavior of the older Franco sibling. "I know we're not supposed to answer for our brother's actions, but I'm going to make you answer for your brother's actions!"
O'Brien then shows Dave and his audience the revealing selfie that James had posted to Instagram, then asks the young actor what his brother was doing.
"I'm not on social media so I wasn't made aware of this until I was actually doing the junket for this movie [Neighbors] and, I don't know ... Compared to some of the other weird things he's doing this seems like kind of a refined act, you know? He's reeling it in a little!"
O'Brien then brings up the Rogen paintings, showing a blurred-out example to the crowd, to which Dave also defended a bit with a strange anecdote.
"Multiple people asked me if I was jealous that he didn't paint me like that," Dave explained. "I think that we would have to have a family therapy session immediately if he was painting me nude!"
Conan didn't bring up the whole 17-year-old girl controversy, though.
