The newest trailer for Dawn of the Planet of the Apes has hit the Internet and now we get a bit more plot to add to the tension that has built up since the end of Rise. Though we've experienced the teaser trailer a few months ago, this new extended look gives us plenty more to look forward to without revealing too many spoilers. Check out this new trailer that's taking over the Internet below!

"I know why you're scared. It took us four years fighting that virus, but we are survivors," Gary Oldman's character says to the other human characters of the film in this chilling trailer.

As you can tell from the new trailer, Dawn of the Planet of the Apes takes place after humanity has fallen apart and the apes have organized and come into power. We follow a clan of humans trying to survive and possibly rise up against the ape forces, but how will they do it and what will that accomplish?

Here is the official synopsis of this highly anticipated sequel:

A growing nation of genetically evolved apes led by Caesar is threatened by a band of human survivors of the devastating virus unleashed a decade earlier. They reach a fragile peace, but it proves short-lived, as both sides are brought to the brink of a war that will determine who will emerge as Earth's dominant species.
