In the Marvel Universe, The Watcher has stood out in the background, recording every single event from the moon. Never getting involved, the Watcher knew exactly what was going to happen, even his own murder. Writer Jason Aaron and artist Mike Deodato begin the greatest murder mystery to ever take place in Marvel Comics history in Original Sin #1.

The mystery begins where everyone in the Marvel Universe, from the Fantastic Four to Spider-Man, will be asking themselves, "Who shot The Watcher?" Also known as Uatu, the Watcher is the all-seeing and all-knowing cosmic space god. Who would want the Watcher dead? And what would they want with his eyes?

Nick Fury, from espionage agency S.H.I.E.L.D., is in charge of gathering Marvel's mightiest heroes in this murder mystery. Readers will find unlikely alliances taking place as The Punisher and Dr. Strange join Black Panther's secret team. Everyone is out looking for the one person who holds the Marvel Universe's darkest secrets in the palm of their hands.
