1) Harvey Bullock and Jim Gordon
McKenzie plays Jim Gordon, the rookie detective who will one day rise through the ranks and become Gotham City's police commissioner. In the TV series, Gordon's ideals will tested by rogue cop, Harvey Bullock (Donal Logue). Will they be able to trust each other, knowing full well there is corruption in their police force?
2) Alfred Pennyworth and Bruce Wayne
In the Batman mythology, Bruce helplessly witnesses the death of his parents by his parents. Played by Sean Pertwee, Alfred takes in Bruce as his legal guardian/father figure. Could the TV series look into Alfred's secret past as a former Marine, like in the Batman comics?
3) Riddler and Poison Ivy
Corey Michael Smith is the Riddler, the criminal mastermind who loves to prove how smart he is. Because of her green wardrobe, it's safe to assume Clare Foley is Poison Ivy. We're watching her grow up to become the supervillainess who uses plants for torture. Her name has been changed from Pamela Isley to Ivy Pepper, or has it?
4) Penguin and Fish Mooney
As reported here, Gotham showrunner Bruno Heller states, "Penguin, for instance, is not a powerful gang leader; he's a gofer for a gangster." This photo reveals what Heller was actually saying. Penguin (Robin Lord Taylor) is working for crime boss, Fish Mooney (Jada Pinkett Smith).
The TV series, Gotham, promises to look into the origin stories of Batman's famous villains. How will Riddler, Penguin, and Poison Ivy become who they are before Batman shows up?
