The 2014 NFL Draft is coming to a close tonight and QB after QB had been drafted, but one thing failed to change. The classy NCAA QB, A.J. McCarron, was still on the board. He had a stunning career at Alabama, making a huge name for himself, yet nobody wanted to draft him. Finally, when the fifth round of the draft was nearing it's end the Cincinnati Bengals ended this farce and took one of the premier QB, if not the QB steal of this years class.
A.J. and his model partner, Katherine Webb, will head to Cincinnati where he will compete with Andy Dalton and Jason Campbell. He will evidently learn from the pair's wealth of experience, but can he win the No. 1 job? The pressure will be eased on the star, with him being a low draft pick, and one that comes at very, very affordable price. Many believe he can achieve far more than Johnny Manziel, Blake Bortles, Teddy Bridgewater and Derek Carr. Nick Saban has long stated he has what it takes to make it the NFL, and he now has a point to prove.
After waiting and waiting the QB tweeted about how this would make him work harder and allow him to play with a bigger chip on his shoulder, although the tweet was soon deleted. One of the best college QB is now apart of one of the most explosive offensive teams and has a lot of reasons to motivate himself. Could the teams that passed on him created a monster?
A.J. has a talented team, an NFL contract and a beautiful partner, and now he is finally here, he will show the NFL what he can do. Watch out, AFC North, McCarron's coming for you.
