The Premier League season has finished, and the World Cup is weeks away, but teams are already scrambling to make several new signings for their teams. Chelsea, Arsenal, Liverpool and Manchester United are all set to spend big this summer, so which players will they seek to change their fortunes?
Liverpool have made a move for Southampton star Adam Lallana, whilst Manchester United have made a move for fellow Saints player Luke Shaw. Both are going to Brazil in England's 2014 World Cup squad, and it's believed the clubs want to sign the pair before the World Cup starts.
Chelsea have already insisted they need striking reinforcements, and Diego Costa has for a long time been the man they've wanted. The 24-year-old Spanish forward is currently at Atletico Madrid and it's believed it would take a fee of nearly $50 million dollars to secure a deal for the star.
Manchester United veteran Patrice Evra is tipped to become a free agent, and possibly join Nemanja Vidic in leaving Manchester United to join Inter Milan. With Shaw in line for a Untied move, could Evra leave? United's young striker Danny Welbeck has been linked with Arsenal and Tottenham, but United insist he's not for sale. Could a lack of first-team football change that?
Perhaps the biggest news is that Manchester City, Arsenal and Manchester United are chasing the signature of Barcelona star Xavi. Although he's getting past his best he's a world class player that would instantly improve any Premier League team.
What deals do you think these clubs should make?
