Beyonce and Solange Jet to Costa Rica after Jay Z Elevator Showdown

Beyonce and Solange got a much-needed respite, this past weekend, after the elevator incident with Jay Z.

The sisters jetted to Costa Rica last week after the Met Gala probably to blow off some steam from the evening. They left on a private plane on Thursday and returned home this past weekend, and we exactly think the elevator video going viral was what they wanted as a coming home present.

Speculation is saying that the Knowles girls were in Costa Rica for Kelly Rowland's wedding, which is reported to have taken place on Friday night. Also present in Costa Rica at the same time were Bey and Solange's mother, Tina Knowles, Rowland and fiancé Tim Witherspoon, and Michelle Williams, Destiny's Child band mate.

It looks like Bey made the trip sans her hubby Jay Z, who after the incident was wise to stay away.

TMZ released a video today that shows Solange, Beyonce, and Jay Z in an elevator together at the Strand Hotel after the Met Gala last Monday night. The clip shows Solange clearly upset with Jay Z over undisclosed reasons. Once inside the elevator, Solange releases a series of punches and kicks making contact with Jay Z a few times before a bodyguard separates the two of them. The video was obtained by TMZ after an employee at the Strand sold them the elevator security footage.

The hotel released a statement today regarding the incident.

"We are shocked and disappointed that there was a clear breach of our security system and the confidentiality that we count on providing our guests. We are investigating with the utmost urgency the circumstances surrounding the situation and, as is our customary practice, will discipline and prosecute the individuals involved to our fullest capacity."

Beyonce, Jay, and Solange have yet to comment on the incident, but Bey did post an inspiration quote on her Instagram page with a message for God to bless her relationship.
