'Real Housewives of New York' Recap: #RHONY Wine Fight Drama, and Ramona's Emotional Breakdown

Lets dive right into this week's Real Housewives of New York recap, because we got a lot of drama to talk about.

As soon as the episode starts the ladies are in each other's faces, literally. The first twenty minutes of the show are spent rehashing the drama from the #canoefight, where Ramona threw a wine glass at Kristen and cuts her lip open.

Ramona and Sonja say that the glass tossing was simply a reaction to getting splashed in the lake and that Kristen instigated the whole thing. Ramona is taking no blame here, saying that she had told Kristen she didn't want to get her hair wet. The conversation between the two housewives goes deeper when Ramona reveals that she grew up in an abusive home.

She turns to Sonja for advice because she feels like during the incident she turning into her father. At this point Sonja gets extremely physically upset, yelling, "You are not your dad!" Ramona changes the story around saying that she actually feels that Kristen was acting like her dad, and tells Sonja that she hasn't thrown a glass in thirty years and the last time she threw one was at her father.

When Kristen and Carole talk about the incident they say that one never truly knows what is going happen with Ramona, because she can snap in an instant. The ladies can't seem to wrap their heads around why the splashing was such a big deal "What is she the wicked witch of the West, is she going to melt," Kristen says. Kristen and Carole come to the same conclusion saying that they took away a very important lesson from the day, "Don't f*ck with [Ramona's] blow dry, that's the lesson."

When Ramona does eventually approach Kristen to apologize, Kristen realizes it's not very heartfelt, saying that you don't apology by saying you kinda, sorta, guess you're sorry. Kristen wonders how hard is it just to apologize to someone and admit you were wrong.

Ramona and Kristen go at it again for round two, this time right before the ladies sit down for a nice dinner that Heather has prepared. Ramona says that Kristen is exaggerating and that the glass throwing wasn't such a big deal. Kristen doesn't realize why Ramona is getting so heated because she is the one with the split lip.

The housewives come to the conclusion that they will never see eye-to-eye on the topic and that it's better just to sit down to dinner and ignore one another.

During a very special dinner, Heather set up an Elvis appearance, which helps to lightens the mood because Kristen is such a huge Elvis fan.

The next morning Ramona makes a call to a pilot friend of hers and sneakily makes arrangement for him to pick her up in the Berkshires.

Ramona tries to quickly rush the ladies out the door for their morning hike, probably so she can be back in time to get on the plane and get the hell back to the city. On their hike, the ladies become one with nature and take the time out to literally, hug some trees.

But you can't have a hike on one of these shows without some drama. As the hike progresses it begins to triggers some intense feelings in the women.

Ramona who is walking with Carole begins to feel very uneasy, feeling like she has been transported back to her childhood. She says that the woods in the Berkshires look exactly like the ones from her childhood, saying that her dad bought the property in the country so that he could abuse the family without fear of the neighbors hearing.

One second Ramona is reminiscing about playing pretend in the woods, making mud pies and playing with imaginary friends, and the next she is in tears. She tells Carole and Heather that she is having a meltdown and needs to leave the woods and return to New York City. When the ladies ask how she will be getting there, she lets them know she has a plane coming to pick her up. Heather and Carole say goodbye to her but think the whole plan is a little too organized, to which Carole says Ramona did some pretty good acting to get her out of the weekend, "it wasn't Oscar worthy but maybe daytime Emmy." 

After Ramona's departure, the ladies take a boat out on the lake, where Sonja spends a majority of the time flirting with the 20-year-old boat captain, who doesn't seem to be that interested.

Kristen is ecstatic that Ramona has left, feeling more relaxed and saying that the housewives are now enjoying each other's company so much more. The ladies even break out into a dance party on the boat.

The conversation for the rest of the day/evening pretty much focuses on Ramona, including when the ladies go out to dinner. During dinner LuAnn discovers that after Ramona left she made her way, not back home, but instead to a party in the Hamptons. LuAnn gets a picture message from her friend, which shows Ramona all dressed up, having a great time at the Hampton's party.

The ladies are shocked, but none more so than Sonja, who is devastated knowing that her best friend lied to her, informing the other ladies she didn't even get a goodbye from Ramona. The housewives tell Sonja that Ramona has only ever been concerned with herself, and doesn't have Sonja's best interest in mind.

The episode ends with the girls all saying that they are extremely concerned about Ramona's wellbeing and that they feel like they need to have an intervention with her, to let her know, that her recent behavior is out of control.  

Next weeks episode looks even more drama filled then this one, including an intervention for Ramona, and a one-on-one sit down between Kristen and Ramona.
