The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 1 does not hit theaters until later this year, but a new website for the movie has launched that offers a wealth of new details and official first looks at several parts of the movie.
The site includes the first official stills, such as the reveal of Julianne Moore as President Alma Coin. The website also has some cast interviews to view. Check it out here.
The Hunger Games: Mockingjay will be split into two parts and will end the story of Katniss Everdeen and her friends as they rebel against the Capital and President Snow in an attempt to overthrow the regime that has ruled for more than 75 years.
The Hollywood Reporter reports Michelle Forbes has joined Mockingjay: Part 2 as Lieutenant Jackson, a soldier from the rebellious District 13. Forbes has worked on Star Trek: The Next Generation, True Blood, Battlestar Galactica and Orphan Black.
Mockingjay Part 1 hits theaters on Nov. 21, 2014 and Mockingjay Part 2 releases on Nov. 20, 2015.
In other news, Deadline reported that Gwendoline Christie, who plays Brienne of Tarth on HBO's hit Game of Thrones, will replace American Horror Story actress Lily Rabe for the role of Commander Lyme in Mockingjay. Rabe had to drop out of the film because of a scheduling conflict with her previous commitment to Much Ado About Nothing at Shakespeare in the Park.
What do you think of the website? What do you think of Moore as President Coin? Are you excited for Mockingjay? Let us know your thoughts and opinions in the comments below.
