Is Britney Spears The Next Simon Cowell? Harsh Comments [VIDEO]

With the addition of pop divas Britney Spears and Demi Lovato on the judge panel for The X Factor USA, Cowell has a stronger team than ever. A new promo video featuring Spears has been released to build hype for the premiere on Sept 12.

The teaser video begins with a voice-over question, "Has America's sweetheart been hanging with Simon Cowell too long?" Spears is then seen on the video telling a contestant, "You can't destroy that song, sweetie." She says to other hopefuls, "Very predictable" and "You definitely don't have the X Factor." The camera also shows a surprised Cowell who turns towards Spears as she tells off a contestant.

The promo video hints at a new season that has a different tone from the sweet talk of last season's judges Paula Abdul and Nicole Scherzinger. Demi Lovato is not seen in this promo, however the two have been making headlines throughout the pre-season auditions.

Lovato recently kicked off a rapping duo that referred to drugs on the stage.
