For the last couple of seasons it was clear Manchester United needed a heavy investment, but after avoiding that, they're in need of some big changes this summer. It's believed that the club will spend well over $200 million dollars in the revamp of his team. How could the starting eleven look when the season starts in August? With the latest rumours taken in to account, here's how the team could line up:
Goalkeeper: David De Gea
Right Back: Rafael
Center Back: Ezequiel Garay
Center Back: Mats Hummels
Left Back: Luke Shaw
Center Midfield: Michael Carrick
Center Midfield: Toni Kroos
Center Midfield: Cesc Fabregas
Right Forward: Robin Van Persie
Center Forward: Wayne Rooney
Left Forward: Arjen Robben
That would see 6 changes, and the $200 million dollar bracket easily broken, but it would put United's team back on the map of elite sides. It may take time to gel, and they might have to find their way, but arguably that team has everything the 2013/14 squad have lacked. United have been linked with world class players from all across Europe, and with Louis Van Gaal in charge, they have a man that can attract players of this stature, whereas David Moyes was unable to attract this kind of quality.
Could this be the Manchester United starting 11 come August, and how would they fair in their first season of the Premier League? The only downside to this possible team is, how does Juan Mata fit in at United, or would he move yet again?
