The Real Housewives of New York didn't disappoint with tonight's all-new episode.
The ladies finally got to return to New York from their hellish vacation in the Berkshires. People escape New York to get away from the hustle and bustle but it looks like it follows these ladies wherever they go.
After the Ramona disaster that happened in the woods, the ladies woke up the next morning to try to get their Zen back by doing some yoga, the only problem is that they were all hung-over.
Now I've seen hung-over before but some of the ladies, we are looking at you Sonja, were just completely wrecked. Somehow they all managed to get their yoga pants on and join in on the exercises. We don't really know if joining in is the right word, more like laid on their mats while Kristen and Heather actually mastered their skills.
When the housewives did finally get back to New York it was straight back to business. Carole, who is working on an article for Town & Country Magazine, enlists the help of the manners expert, LuAnn, to give her some advice on proper gift giving etiquette. The meeting isn't just business but also pleasure too. The Countess tells Carole that she is going to set her up on a date, something the writer is really excited about.
Flash-forward to the train wreck of a date that we can't look away from. Ok, Ok it wasn't actually that bad, but there were definitely some cringe-worthy moments, especially when Carole brings up the fact that only 76% of women never actually achieve orgasm and that she didn't get one until she was in her twenties. Easy Carole, save that kind of talk for the third or fourth date, jeez.
The main focus of this episode comes when the ladies decide to ambush Ramona and stage an intervention to talk about her erratic behavior while on their nature retreat. The ladies devise a plan to have Ramona blocked into the booth at the restaurant so that she has no way to escape. LuAnn sits on the outside of the bench saying something along the lines of Ramona not being able to get past her because she has the build of a 49er.
The conversation goes... well. Ha who are we kidding, the conversation goes completely awful right from the start. LuAnn manages to awkwardly make a transition from Sonja's "boyfriend" Ben to the Molly Sims' Party that Ramona ditched the Berkshire's trip to go to.
The ladies all had different reasons why they were upset over Ramona suddenly fleeing from the Berkshires, but mainly Heather was upset that she went through all the trouble to "Ramonify" her house and the girl didn't even end up staying the whole weekend.
The other ladies are just upset over the fact that Ramona lied to them about the reason for leaving and that she showed no remorse over upsetting them.
Parts of the dinner conversation are just awkward to watch, we can't imagine being a diner in the restaurant or part of the wait staff that was there to witness this confrontation first hand.
Somehow, Ramona surprisingly owns up to a portion of her mistakes, letting the others know that she was truly sorry for her actions. She even agrees that she will go to therapy to sort out her deep-rooted issues. While we are sure she just agreed to this to save face, it was nice to hear the ladies laughing and not arguing for once.
The last confrontation of the night comes when Ramona agrees to sit down and apologize to Kristen for throwing the wine glass at her face. This scene left us honestly floored. The two decided to meet for coffee and tea, which Kristen says she was hesitant about because she didn't want to have burns from the beverages if Ramona ended up throwing another glass at her.
Right off the bat Ramona apologizes, even gifting Kristen with some yellow rose to say I'm sorry, we wonder if Carole wrote about the etiquette of gifting apology flowers? This is the first time that Ramona has apologized that we actually believe she is sorry.
The ladies rehash all their issues with one another not really seeing eye-to-eye; maybe Kristen shouldn't have brought up the "T" word, therapy. As soon as she mentions that Ramona need to go talk to someone the conversation end up going South... and quick. Ramona does a complete 180 and even ends up laughing at Kristen when the housewife relives the wine-throwing incident that left her wounded.
Ramona reveals that her main issue with Kristen is nothing more than just simply being bothered by her. The conversation ends when Ramona, who invited Kristen to the tea, cuts the date short, clearly uncomfortable with staying any longer then she needs to. The two say their goodbyes before walking out of the restaurant, not really friends with each other, but not really enemies either.
The preview for next week's episode sees the return of Aviva, and her father who has no filter, and viewer will also be invited to Sonja's dog's funeral.
