WATCH: 'X-Men: Days of Future Past' star Hugh Jackman challenges WWE star John Cena to a fight on ESPN's 'SportsCenter' [VIDEO]

While appearing on ESPN's SportsCenter this week, Academy Award nominated actor Hugh Jackman talked about the 2014 World Cup in Brazil but also managed to call out WWE star John Cena. Jackman recently appeared at a WWE event, so apparently his involvement is about to get bigger!

We all know him from as Wolverine from the X-Men movies (with Days of Future Past hitting theaters this week), but the towering muscle man can most likely hold his own in the world of Professional Wrestling. If he meets Cena in the ring, we'll be watching!

"I am the Flying Aussie," Jackman tells the cameras. "I am coming off the top rope -- you're going down!"

Do you think this will end in a match between the actor and the wrestler? This is most likely a publicity stunt to promote Jackman's new movie and the probably already planned match between the two, but it's still fun to see him call out Cena!

Meanwhile, Jackman also spoke about the upcoming World Cup matches. Though his homeland hasn't seen much World Cup success, Jackman explained he'll be hoping for a lot of upsets to see Australia take home the gold!

"Rest assured. I'm going to be watching. I'll be with my daughter and her friends that day. They're not going to be as understanding that I'm going to be stopping everything to see this match, but I am," he said.

The Days of Future Past star added: "Because come on...Australia, we can do it!"
