The newest vocal sensation was crowned last night on the season 6 finale of The Voice.
The stiff competition was between the three front-runners, Cristina Grimmie and Jake Worthington, and Josh Kaufman. Grimme and Worthington hit the top ten on iTunes after Monday night's performances, which helped them stand out from Kaufman, who was unable to break into the top of the music charts.
On last night's episode, host Carson Daly explained that the reason Kaufman didn't make it into the iTunes top ten was due to a glitch from the music downloading service. Due to this developed, none of the iTunes votes would come into affect for any of the contestants when calculating the final scores.
After all the issues were settled one star seemed to pull ahead of the other and win the whole contest.
Say hello to your new winner of the voice...
JOSH KAUFMAN!!!!
Kaufman was a member of Team Usher, giving the coach his first win ever, and making it the first time that someone other than Blake Shelton or Adam Levine has won.
We know that a lot of you out there are Christina fans, so we have some good news for you too. Levine announced last night on the finale that he would be signing her to his record label, so fans need not worry, you'll be hearing new music from the singer soon.
The race was so tight that viewers are a little bit suspicious of whether or not the iTunes downloads would have swayed the vote in the favor of Grimmie. Daly mentioned that the votes wouldn't have affected the outcome either way, which seems a little sketchy to us.
Are you happy with the outcome, or would you have rather seen Christina took home the top prize? Let us know in the comments below.
