Get ready for us to introduce you to the newest American Idol.
Last night was the finale for the Fox singing competition and it was on heck of a star-studded event.
Musicians Phillip Phillips, Kiss, Demi Lovato, Paramore, Jason Mraz, and John Legend took to the stage to perform in order to draw out the finale for two hours, before revealing who won the competition.
So who took home the title...
CALEB JOHNSON!
Jonson became the newest American Idol following in the footsteps of past winners Carrie Underwood, Kelly Clarkson, and Phillip Phillips. Along with the title and a record deal, the rocker won a hefty cash prize along with a new Ford Mustang, which runner-up Jena also won, for making it into the top two.
Viewers were clearly divided between the top two, after their final performances on Wednesday night. Jena's cover of Elvis's "Can't Help Falling In Love," gave us so many emotions that we think based on that performance along she should have won. Caleb however did an amazing job as well, performing "Maybe I'm Amazed."
The two also performed their new single songs on Wednesday's broadcast. Caleb rocked out to "As Long as You Love Me," and Jena took her turn belting out single "We Are One."
The judges Jennifer Lopez, Harry Connick Jr, Randy Jackson, Keith Urban and even Ryan Seacrest took time out from judging to join in on the singing.
Do you think that Caleb should have won the season or do you think someone else was more deserving? We are still sad that Majesty Rose didn't make it into at least the top three.
