'The Giver' Releases New Posters Featuring Stars Of The Film Taylor Swift, Katie Holmes, Meryl Streep, and Alexander Skarsgard

How exciting? Today we get to see a glipse into the world of The Giver!!!

The film, which is based on the Lois Lowry novel of the same name, is set to hit theaters this summer, but we have your first look at the character posters, which were just released today.

Stars of the sci-fi movie Taylor Swift, Katie Holmes, Meryl Streep, Alexander Skarsgard, and Brenton Thwaites each get their own personal promotional poster.

The world of The Giver is set in a futuristic utopic world where no conflict exists; no drama is present, and none of the residence can remember a world where racism, or sickness occurred. The story focuses on Jonas (Brenton Thwaites), a 12-year-old boy who is chosen to be a "Receiver of Memory" a huge responsibility in this society. As his lessons in memories progress, Jonas begins to see the hardships that existed in the civilizations that came before his.

The posters page homage to the book, which is set in black and white, with the only color being seen during Jonas memories lessons. From the trailer we know that the film won't be set in black and white, which would have been kind of cool, very Pleasantville-esque.
